Read through his build thread.
He named it “12 gauge garage,” because of the weight of the cabinets he used.

^^ garage journal is blocked here at work, so this is just the google result. Not sure if it’s it or not.

The 12 gauge garage was never a two car garage.
But I still love it.
The title should be “$3500 and a shit ton of man hours.”

After I finish my garage remodel I’m going to scour CL for StrongHold cabinets.

I would love that, except half of our garage is a storage shed.

I copied/modified the folding table design for my previous 2 car garage. I had one on each side of the garage. My new 3 car (more of a 2.5 car) will get versions of those tables as well. Sure was handy to have available worksurfaces whenever I needed them, and tucked out of the way when I didn’t.
I wish I could “theme” my garage, but the fact is, I only have one, and I have a 7 year old that has outdoor toys, bikes, and an HOA that doesn’t allow sheds.
His garage is mighty impressive. I read GJ quite a bit, but I don’t have nearly the design prowess, space, or cash that a lot of the spaces there have. It’s hard to find “average suburban dad” garage.

Thanks for sharing this. It lets me know some of my plans are good, and gave some helpful suggestions I did not think of.

Petrolicious did a great video about him and his 911, which he really set up to be a performer on track & comfortable off. And of course he talked a little bit about his garage and having it featured in GJ + I think Popular Mechanics and I’m sure a few other publications as well.
